CHICKS, CHICKS, AND MORE CHICKS

Chick season is normally in the spring from March to the end of May for us. Thus, meaning we keep chicks in store for you to stop by and buy as few or as many as you would like. We try to keep a variety of chicks in store, mostly carrying layer chicks that are sexed as pullets. We're also able to get in Cornish cross, turkey poults, guinea keets, ducklings, goslings, quail, and even pheasants and chukars - not all of these are offered sexed. Most people like to come in store and buy a variety of chicks from what we have available that day. If you prefer, we can also do a special order for you, the only thing is the minimum order has to be met per the supplier, such as the minimum for chicks is 15, bantams are 20, ducks are 15, quail are 50, etc. We normally order chicks from Cackle Hatchery or Hoover Hatchery, depending on availability, price, and variety.

On occasion, we will incubate in store, if so, these chicks will not be sexed. Normally, what we incubate in store is what is available from our employees' farms or that customers have donated to us. These usually include chicks, ducks, quail, turkey, guinea and even peacocks occasionally.

This year for turkeys, geese, quail and guineas, we decided to hatch them out ourselves. Therefore, for this, we ask if you reach out to us to be put on a wait list or follow on Facebook for more accurate updates. Otherwise, these chicks will be offered as first come first serve once they hatch.

Each of these birds offered may have a limited variety and quantity. The turkeys will be heritage breeds, but colors offered may vary. Geese breeds could be Embden, White Chinese, Brown Chinese or African Gray. Quail will be coturnix, with various colors. Guineas could vary in color from pearl, lavender, pied or white. These are just some of the varieties that may be available. Please message or call for more accurate details. 

If for some reason this does not work out, we can still order some of these birds from the hatcheries. The pricing and availability will differ from ours.
